Here we show that TMHS is an auxiliary subunit of the hair cells mechanotransduction channel.|TMHS belongs to the tetraspan family. It binds to PCDH15, controls the assembly of the hair cells mechanotransduction machinery, regulates the properties of their mechanotransduction channels, and is required for adaptation. |
