The human WW45 protein enhances MST1-mediated apoptosis in vivo In this model, hWW45 binds both MST1 and LATS through its coiled-coil domains and WW domains, respectively, and facilitates the phosphorylation of LATS by MST1. This model could explain the enhanced apoptotic efficacy of MST1 with the over-expression of hWW45 and the attenuated MST1-induced apoptosis with the down-regulation of endogenous hWW45. |
