In the latter, heyl is coexpressed with notch3, so far the only notch pathway gene detected in vascular smooth muscles (fig. 2h,i;joutel et al., 2000). Both genes are also coexpressed during late thymus development and our own promoter studies further suggest a potential regulation of heyl transcription by notch3. |
