FAP: Notch
Pathway ID: SIGNOR-FapNOTCH
Description: The activation of NOTCH pathway inhibits adipogenesis by blocking the expression of PPARγ and C/EBPα. The same effect can be obtained by overexpressing the Notch target gene Hes-1 in 3T3-L1 cells. The Notch pathway regulates both adipogenesis and osteogenesis of mesenchymal stem cells in a complex manner by directly targeting the adipogenesis master regulator genes or by interacting with other signaling pathways.
